Geistlich proclaimed the "Charity Walk & Run" on 10 October. The challenging current health crisis has shown Geistlich employees what a crucial role solidarity plays. Numerous markets in which Geistlich is represented by its own affiliates were hit hard by the corona virus. This period in particular showed how indispensable mutual support and close ties between customers, partners and the company are. This impressive experience motivated employees worldwide to get involved in the "Geistlich Charity Walk & Run" for a good cause. Employees from the two Lucerne sites in Wolhusen and Root and from all twelve affiliates - from Italy to Brazil and China - took part.
Donation for a dental aid organisation
While the employees did something for their fitness, they supported the Brazilian non-governmental organisation (NGO) Turma do Bem and its project ApolĂ´nias do Bem. The ApolĂ´nias do Bem project provides free and comprehensive dental treatment for women who have experienced violent situations and whose teeth have been damaged. The Brazilian affiliate has been working successfully with this organisation for a long time. Poul Sorensen, General Manager of Geistlich Pharma do Brasil: "It is our pleasure and noble duty to support a project like Apolonias do Bem, which gives women back their self-esteem and quality of life". In particular, "Turma do Bem" is characterised by the immediate and solution-oriented help. The entire "Geistlich family" experienced an eventful day, in which solidarity played the leading role.
